Latest findings of CBS research

CBS started a major project in 2009 investigating business involvement in complex issues of society. By finishing the first stage of this initiative, we have issued a working paper that discusses the possible involvement of business sector in substance abuse prevention.

IMPACT - Measuring the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility

July 2010

A consortium of fourteen leading European research institutions, including CEU Business School's Center for Business and Society, has launched the project website for a unique research project that measures the impacts of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): www.csr-impact.eu.

IMPACT is

  • the European Commission’s largest ever research and knowledge development initiative on CSR, supported by € 2.6 million in funding under the EU’s 7th Framework Programme for Research.
  • a systematic attempt to measure the contribution of CSR to the social, economic and environmental goals of the European Union.
  • an evidence-based assessment and analysis of CSR impact within companies, across industry sectors and regions, and at national and EU levels.
  • an inter- and transdisciplinary research design
  • acomplementary consortium of sixteen top European research institutions, combining independent sustainability research, business schools, universities and CSR networks.
