Mission, Vision and Strategic Objectives
Within the framework of its Integrity Initiative, Siemens AG is providing a USD 3 million grant to a Central European University (CEU) program, which will extend to Central and Eastern European and former Soviet Union countries. The CEU project is one of 18 Siemens has selected for support in the first round of its initiative
The cooperation program with CEU was launched in January 2011.
CEU established the Center for Integrity in Business and Government (CIBG), which will serve as a regional center of excellence in integrity education, and will bring new visibility and credibility to the field.
The Center's main objectives are:
- Increase the quality, impact and sustainability of integrity education
- Develop an Integrity Curriculum Framework (ICF), a series of learning outcomes, and guidelines for local curriculum development
- Institutionalize integrity education in graduate and executive education programs at the CEU Business School and CEU School of Public Policy and International Relations
- Engage graduate students and junior, mid-level and senior business executives and public sector practitioners in promoting integrity
- Improve the reach and institutionalization of integrity education in undergraduate, graduate and executive education programs by creating a network of universities
- Targeted countries: the region of Central and Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union
- Build the capacity of professional training institutions
The idea that corporations can remain competitive and governments responsive, while working with integrity, will be demonstrated through substantive involvement of the private and public sectors in the development of locally relevant case studies. Tiri—Making Integrity Work, CIBG’s Project Partner will adapt the curricula to cultures and educational frameworks of the region for relevance, making this project broadly applicable. Tiri—Making Integrity Work will also train a cadre of integrity educators to develop contextually relevant curricula and supporting materials for graduate and executive education courses in business and public administration.
