Professors Kisilowski and Koles Receive Google Research Award

Professors Maciej Kisilowski and Bernadett Koles, Co-Directors of Initiative for Regulatory Innovation (IRI) received Google Research Award – a prestigious grant supporting the most innovative new research ideas. The grant, awarded by Google Inc. in a worldwide competition, will support IRI’s new multinational comparative empirical study of public and private knowledge-based organizations. “The fact that one of the world’s most innovative knowledge-based companies recognized the potential in our research is an enormous encouragement” admits Professor Koles. “It is quite audacious of us – two young scholars – to say: <<we’re going to set a new path in the thinking about public management>>” adds Professor Kisilowski. “But we deeply believe that this is precisely what our study will achieve -- and it is great that there are people and organizations that are willing to support us in this enterprise.”
