 Prof. Peter Hardi, Director

Prof. Hardi’s interdisciplinary background (M. Sc. in chemistry, M.A. in philosophy, Ph.D. in political science) combines theoretical knowledge with practical expertise. His research focuses on theoretical and methodological issues of sustainable development (SD) policy-making and assessment; corporate reporting and corporate social responsibility.

Prof. Hardi has managed international projects from strategic environmental assessments, SD performance evaluation, community measurement frameworks and indicators design to government and corporate reporting. He also has extensive experience in managing public-private partnership projects both in developed world and countries in transition. Professor Hardi has three decades of teaching experience with a number of European and North American universities and over fifteen years of experience in providing multi-stakeholder and corporate training and capacity building in culturally most diverse settings. He is the author of numerous papers in academic journals, monographs and books, including: Evaluating Sustainable Development Vol. 1 and 2, (Co-editor), Edward Elgar Publisher, 2007; Assessing Sustainable Development: Principles in Practice (Co-editor), IISD, 1997; Environmental Protection in East-Central Europe: A Market-Oriented Approach.  Gergely Radácsi, Researcher

Received his MA in Public Policy at CEU. Currently working as a researcher at the Center for Business and Society, CEU Business School. He is also a member of the National Expert Committee on Enhancing Substance Abuse Prevention at Workplaces in Hungary. His research area covers corporate social responsibility, substance abuse prevention, and business involvement in the resolution of complex social issues.

 Arnisa Gorezi,Research Assistant

Arnisa Gorezi received her LLB from the University of Tirana, Albania in 2006. Afterwards, she received her LLM in International Business Law from CEU Legal Studies in 2007 and was then admitted to the CEU SJD program in the same year. Her research interests cover various problems in company law and corporate governance, corporate social responsibility and capital market participation of companies. She is currently working as a research assistant at the Center for Business and Society at CEU Business School.

 Márta Matécsa, Research Assistant

Marta Matecsa earned an MSc in Management and Engineering at Budapest University of Technology & Economics with a major in corporate analysis; she is currently being part of the Executive MBA program at CEU Business School. Spending 3 years in the professional services industry she partnered with both local and global clients to identify their key challenges, and design and deliver pragmatic solutions on organizational and people development; recently she moved to business advisory at one of the Big 4s. Her ongoing research project at the Center for Business and Society at CEU Business School is revealing CSR’s new, dynamic & interactive forms; her major scope is developing a novel CSR performance index.
