Professional Resume/CV
The resume should include details of the applicant’s full and part-time employment record, including the nature of work and responsibilities and the evolution of professional activities.
CEU Business School requires a minimum of three years of full-time work experience from applicants to its MBA programs.
Undergraduate Degree Diploma and Transcripts
Applicants to the graduate programs must possess an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution, comparable to an approved U.S. Bachelor's degree.
CEU Business School requires certified copies of the diploma and transcripts (academic records which shows courses taken and grades achieved broken down by academic year and/or semester of study) in original language, accompanied by official English translations.
For the evaluation of the application, applicants should upload a scanned copy of an official English translation of their diploma and transcripts to the online application system. In case of an Offer, certified copies and official translations must be submitted in hard copies to the Admissions Office, by the deadline specified in the Offer Letter.
A certified copy is one which:
- bears an ink stamp and a signature by an authorized university official, or by a public notary;
- contains the stamp and signature on each page or over a folded fastened corner of the document.
An official translation is one which:
- bears the ink stamp and a signature of a sworn translator or an authorized official of the institution that issued the original;
- contains the stamp and signature on each page or over a folded fastened corner of the document;
- includes a statement of authenticity on the last page.
Candidates must ensure that EITHER the stamp OR the signature is in color (black ink is not acceptable).
Notes:
1. Applicants must submit academic records about the first (Bachelor’s) degree they have obtained.
2. Students holding an official diploma and transcript issued by their university in English are exempt from the requirement to submit an official copy of their diploma and transcript in the original language.
3. Students holding an official transcript containing a statement about the degree earned, including the date of graduation and the title of the academic degree awarded, are exempt from the requirement to submit an official copy of their diploma.
4. For students holding an official "Diploma Supplement," which is an additional document given with a diploma: according to EU rules, this document cannot be accepted in place of the diploma. Therefore, students holding a "Diploma Supplement" are still required to submit an official copy of the diploma in the original language with an ink stamp and signature of a notary public or an authorized university official and an official English language translation of the diploma.
Motivational Letter
CEU Business School requires an essay written on the applicant's motivation for applying to the program. It should be no longer than two pages.
Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) Score
The GMAT is an admission requirement for our graduate programs. As the GMAT is one of several criteria we use when assessing an applicant's suitability, the acceptable score is considered in relation to the assessment of the other criteria. However, as a general rule, the higher the GMAT score, the better the chance of being admitted. The average GMAT score for the last three cohorts of our MBA students is 580.
In exceptional circumstances, applicants who meet the following key requirements may be considered for a GMAT waiver from the Admissions Committee:
1. Have at least:
a) 10 years of successful management experience in business demonstrating a career progression OR
b) 7 years of successful management experience in business demonstrating a career progression and hold another Master’s or Ph.D. degree from a reputable institution;
2. Be at least 30 years of age at the start of the program they are applying for; AND
3. Fully meet all other necessary admission requirements.
If you register to take the GMAT, you must forward your test results to CEU Business School (institutional code: 0203).

If your first language is English, you will normally be exempted from this requirement. You may also be exempted if:
- You are a current or a former CEU student;
- You have obtained a Bachelor's or a Master's degree taught exclusively in English.
